Dr Saleem Azeem

Dr Saleem Azeem is a Clinical oncologist with research expertise in translational molecular imaging. He qualified in medicine in India and trained in Merseyside obtaining specialist registration as a clinical oncologist. He received a PhD for his research on the role of positron emission tomography (PET) in anti-cancer drug development from Imperial College London. He has worked for the NHS, Academia and Industry and has helped in the setup and establishment of PET research programmes at the University of Manchester, GlaxoSmithKline and at Hull. He has worked as a clinical oncologist at the Christie Hospital, Manchester, Hammersmith Hospital’ London and most recently as Reader and honorary consultant in Clinical Oncology at the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Saleem currently works for the Daisy Appeal Charity as the Clinical Director of the Molecular Imaging Centre, Hull leading in the initiation and expansion of the Clinical and translational imaging research at the centre.
